VaaaaaaaCaaaaaaTION!!!

Yes, would you believe we are actually on vacation!?! We are endebted to friends of ours who gave us their free 7-night stay in the mountains (they have summer classes). We got into a place called Thunder Mountain Condominiums. Let me tell you that this is "camping" with children 5yrs and under! We were given a
2 bedroom, 2 full-baths, a livingroom, 6-seater dining table, and an extra couch next to the dining table. Oh yeah, a small kitchen complete with stove, fridge, dishwasher sink, and dishes.

We arrived about 2am Wednesday, took about another 60-90min to get stuff upstairs & kids back to bed sleeping. It has been so great to wake-up and have no agenda! I just love eating breakfast and looking out the window to see trees right there! We are in the mountain village of Steamboat Springs, CO so there are other condominiums around us. I can tell this is a hot spot for winter sports. We have an end unit so we are fortunate to have extra windows that others don't have. Each bedroom has sliding glass doors that lead to a balcony. We are able to see the sunrise (if we were actually awake at that time) over the mountain.

We did go out to a park, saw some horses, the kids played in beach volleyball sand, went out looking for bugs, and walked along the river. This afternoon we are going to go play mini golf. Tomorrow we hope to go to the lake. We are pretty flexible with our plans because our focus is to be laid back, relax, and NOT rush ANYWHERE!! We need this since classes start on Monday, but we are not talking or thinking about that right now...Ok...back to pictures and VACATION!!!
